Dear Parents,
As many of you know, starting from 2008, we need to pay rent for the classrooms
in our Oakton Community College location. Donation and fundraising become
important with this extra expense. Contributions from individuals and
corporations will allow the school to:
- Minimize the impact of the rent expense
on the tuition
- Keep class size small
- Support student activities
- Provide more exciting classes.
There are two ways to make your contributions to the school:
- Donate directly to Xilin North Shore Chinese School
- Participate in our grocery dollar
fundraising programs
1). Donate directly to Xilin North Shore Chinese School .
Xilin North Shore Chinese School is a nonprofit Corporation that meets the requirements of section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The school is exempt from Federal
income tax under section 501(c)(3). All your contributions are tax-deductible
to the extent allowed by the tax law. The following is the information you will
need for making a contribution.

To make a tax deductible donation, please send your check to the above
address. If you have any questions regarding the donation, please email Jianhua
Zhang at jhzhang200860@yahoo.comj. You may also contact the office during the
school hours on Sundays.
If your employer has a matching-gift program, please get the Matching
Plan form (usually obtainable from your employer's web site or the HR department).
You will need to fill out the form, and then send us the form with your check.
We will take care of the rest of the process.
You could also make a donation through the United Way Campaign in your
company. Please indicate that you would donate to "an agency of my
choice," and make sure to put the following information under the United Way as designated United Way Agency:

After making your pledge to a United Way Campaign, please notify Jianhua zhang at
jhzhang200860@yahoo.com, so that we are able to manage donor contributions.
2). Participate in our grocery dollar fundraising programs.
You will be able to raise money for the school while doing your
grocery shopping. We are planning to launch three programs for parents to
choose.
H-Mart gift certificate program H-Mart is one of the best
Asian Super markets in Chicagoland, and is only a short distance from the
school ( 801 Civic Center Dr. , Niles , IL ). We will be selling their gift
certificates. The certificate comes in $50 face value, and the school gets 5%
of this value in return.
Dominick's eScript program XiLin NS Chinese School has been enrolled in
the eScrip, a program that links to your Dominick's Fresh Values Card. Once you
sign up, the school will receive up to 4% of your purchases every time you shop
in any Dominick's store with your Fresh Values Card.
The process are simple:
- Log onto eScrip.com, and note the XiLin
NS Chinese School ID#: 500020739
- Enter your Dominicks Fresh value Card
number (12 digit # on your card) to register.
